Autistic queers are only allowed to live if we mask both our autism and our queerness; the social expectation is that to be both fully autistic and fully queer is to be subhuman and thus deserving of our suffering.
I wrote the songs on this album during a period of reckoning with that very fact and the traumas it has caused me and others like me in the past.

In short, this album is a sonic document of going through hell to get to heaven.

Dedicated to: my teenage self, to my close friends, and to anyone who feels like they are somehow broken or unlovable because they have been excluded from the basic levels of compassion and kindness we all need to make life worth living. We're in this together and before the world is burnt to cinders our voices need to be heard.
